Personally, I would ditch the drag pies and get something on there that will give some back pressure. Drag pipes, aside from being loud, only benefit high-end speeds. Low and mid range running suffer and excessive heat can cause you problems with the exhaust valves. If you're bent on keeping the drag pipes, move up to at least a #48 and #85 jet.
intake manifold wrenches then I would get one.
I can remove and replace my intake manifold with the tank on using one of these. The only part other than the carb that was in the way was the VOES. EZ PZ.
Modern gas doesn't really color plugs. The insulator SHOULD be white or light tan. You can adjust the insulator color a bit by running a colder spark plug. What you don't want to see is bubbles or a glazed appearance on the insulator, as that is overheating.
45/180 and about 2.5-3 turns on the mixture screw is perfect for a 1200 Sporty. If it's in fact running lean you have an intake leak somewhere or fuel is not being delivered properly.
