Hello members, I am looking for some advice on upgrading my 2001 XL1200c front end to a Demon cycles Black & chrome Springer Fork, the reason for the upgrade is, one of lower legs fork seal has gone bad, its leaking, so instead of shelling out $300-400 for a front end rebuild, i might as well go with a totally new front end. I like the way my XL handles its light feel and quick steering, which i guess you would get from skinny tires and telescoping forks, but i am concerend about the Pro's and Con's of going with a springer front end, can i get some help on what to expect from a springer? The good and the bad. I would really appreciate advice from those who ride a springer front end motorcycle and or who have made such a conversion to their own XL.
