Dirt Anyone ?
During some 'wheeling and dealing' I ended up with a new Kawasaki KLR 650, which I rode a few times before getting rid of it.
It was an interesting bike, although completely foreign to anything I've owned in the past (all Harley's).
It was lightweight, and the 650 "Thumper" engine had plenty of grunt and low end torque. Seat height was right at 35", and even with my longer inseam (34") it wasn't that easy to flat-foot at a stop.
Main problem I had with the bike was riding in the constantly windy conditions we have around here, where gusts in the 35+ MPH range are common. With the short wheelbase of the KLR, along with it's high center of gravity and light weight the windwould blow it all over the road.
The Kawasaki has an almost 'cult following', and when I owned the bike I spent some time on the various "KLR Forums"..
Those guys ride the KLR's up to the Artic Circle, down into South America, and just about everywhere else. They have my respect, as I did a 200 mile run on the bike and it was a horrible experience. LoL...

I'm working on getting a Used dirt bike to tool around on, but that might be on hold duemy daughter now wantingme to buy her a fourwheeler, (cause I wouldn't paint mine pink).[:'(] Since she is a little girly girl, I told her camo goes with everything. [8D]

My daughter is 5 and she has a 2006 Yamaha TTR50. Training wheels still on it at this point.
I love the dirt and the street.
