I was hoping someone will give some insight to purchasing a 2017 Forty Eight. I found one for sale and was advised that it was dropped in the garage and caused only a bit of damage. Is there any way to check if there are codes to insure this is the case and not a total that was just fixed? If so I can check this myself or do I need to take to dealer? The bike looks great so I don't see any damage. Let me know..
Thanks for the information. If they have not changed the DTC codes how can I look and see what codes are showing or is this something for can Harley to Check for me.
I reading some google information and some people are say that there are history hidden codes. Its a lot of money for me and want to make sure that my wife is not on something that will hurt her.

Does it have a "Salvage" Title?
I ask because you say... "The bike looks great so I don't see any damage." ... "No Damage"... If that's True, why would someone advise you that it was "Dropped" unless that would "Come Out" later?
As far as I can tell, nothing. Rides good. took a few try to get it neutral but that's about it. To have peace of mine I will ask him if dealer says its clean then I have not receive any other input codes that it should be a good thing to buy.
