Here is my 2016 Iron . This is a Harley brand engine guard that I installed . No issues with steering . I will try adding the pics later , Only have success uploading photos on this site about 50% of the time . Sorry .

If you have an HD engine guard and stock fender, no problems....
Now if you start fussing with your fender like I did, then you may encounter issues....my aftermarket fender did touch the HD guard so I had to cut the fender. See pics

Is comforting...i had only read of the problem interfering with steering on one occasion...i haven't rode in 30 years...this is my first harley...good wife bought me an 883....im sure i will have lots of q's and i appreciate the responses....i am 71 years old but christmas came early...tnx to all....del

We must be 'twins' - I'm the same age - and the engine guard is fine on my 2011 SuperLow, has been on all the Harleys I've owned or ever come across.
