Well friends my riding days are now officially over. Dealership totaled out the bike, cost of repairs would be $13,900.22. My wife refuses to have another bike in our household because of the way people in Charlotte NC drive. All I keep hearing is I'm lucky he didn't kill me or worse yet cripple me for life. Right now I'm not feeling too lucky and I wish i could say what I'm really wanting to say. I've really enjoyed my 2 years of being on this forum and I may come back from time to time just to read up on what's going on. But, it's gong to take a long while before that happens.
May The Lord Bless and Protect You all the days that you ride.
Chris.
So sad it came to this but fully understand, I enjoyed your input on here. Wishing you all the best, and Happy Holidays.
Sorry to hear that friend. I was coming home today in my SUV and beside me was a gray haired woman..probably mid 60's...texting. She would be 10-15 car lengths behind the next vehicle and then accelerate to about 2 car lengths and then drop back again..in a 45 mph zone. She was nose to the phone and then jerking her head up to look at the road and then back nose to the phone. I moved as far away as possible..just shaking my head. There needs to be some hard laws for this crap.

This thread went from sucking to REALLY sucking! Good luck OP and be thankful to still be here. Maybe sometime in the future you will get another, never give up!
Grey beard
That is a tough one for sure and sorry to hear of your issues.
However, would you give up driving your car if you had an accident?
What if you were on foot, stop walking?
Skiing, surfing, pedal biking, flying, etc., etc.,
It's a dangerous world and you have to think something bad can't always happen. When it does, do you learn from it or just give up?
Just sayin'
