I can barely, if ever get my bike to shift into neutral when the bike is at a stand-still. I try moving the bike a little, which helps make it easier to shift, but still usually it shifts into second. Even shifting into second at a complete stop is pretty difficult.
Is there anything that I can do to make it easier to shift into neutral when the bike isn't moving?
Have you adjusted the clutch? If not try that first. If so, double check the adjustment to make sure it was done correctly. Have you adjusted the position of the sift linkage? The part that connects to the shaft. Has this just started? Or has it been an issue since you've had the bike? How long has it been doing it?
Forgot to add, FWIW, I don't have any issue finding N on mine.

The best technique I've found is as you're approaching the stop light/sign, parking spot or gas pump and your coming down through the gears, stop at 2nd, slide your foot forward a little, and step down like your stepping on an eggshell and hopefully that neutral light comes on just before you have to put your foot down.
I've Sat at long lights going from 1st to 2nd, back to 1st and just given up and sat with the clutch in LOL.

Likewise, then I go to take off, and miraculously it's in neutral.

Not a mechanic, but I agree with a clutch adjustment. My bike has no probs finding neutral.
