Default Exhaust install

So I am trying to install a new exhaust but i reached the part where you need to unbolt it from the engine and its so far in and limited in space that I can't even figure out which socket it needs, is there like a special tool needed or some sort of thin longer adapter? sorry for the noob question its my first time doing this but it didn't seem too difficult until i reached this part any help/advice much appreciated

I just installed basanni exhaust on my 2017 48. First times for pipes. I had to use a long Craftsman box en wrench to get to i nut. The other 3 I could use a socket with a wobley end extension. I hope this helps. Just tale your time. After installing, Run about 30 minutes and let cool down a couple of times and then torque again and you should be good to go.

The nuts are 1/2" AF and it is easiest if you use 1/4" drive sockets. The front left hand nut as you look at it can use a long extension and the front right hand one doesn't need the extension. On the rear header nuts you can use the long extension on both nuts.

Tighten four nuts at cylinder head exhaust studs to 96-120 in-lbs

I use a 1/4 inch drive socket and extension on 3 nuts, and a boxed wrench for the 4th nut on the front lower left nut.
I have used 3/8 drive sockets and extensions, but its easier using 1/4 inch drive.

Totally agree , use a short extension and a 1/2" socket . It can be done if you take your time and get the angles right.

Remember, tights tight and broke is broke. Fixing a broken stud is not fun.

If not already done … removing the heat shields will give you some more room …

I would have to say on a quick examination to have the O2 sensor outside like that doesn't look right.

The front one pointing toward the back and not to the left side of the bike also doesn't look right.

A faff I know but you might want to try swapping the headers around. Did you get instructions?
