Default Winter upgrades

Finally did a stage one on my roadster. I went with dk customs 636v air cleaner and breather bolts witch I'm loveing. And I went with the khrome werks 2-2 drag style slash cut pipes in eclipse chrome. Love the sound of the pipes.

The only thing I don't like about them is where they put the larger o2 bung at. these pipes come with the small and large o2 bung holes. They could have easily put the larger o2 bung under the smaller one. and be out of the way of your exhaust flange bolts where they have the larger o2 bung.

it makes it really hard to get to the bottom nut on the rear cylander exhaust. I think I have a slight exhaust leak on the rear cylinder be cause I can't get enough tq on the nut. to get the exhaust to seal up to the gasket. I've tried swivel sockets and still can't get to it very well.

once it starts geting tight the socket will slip off. I'm thinking I might take the exhaust off and grind the extra o2 bung out and weld it shut. But I cringe at the thought of taking a grinder to an $800 exhaust. You guys know any magic tools to get in there I would be grateful.

As for a tuner I went with the power vision I got it for $420 so it was only $20 more than the fule pack. and I'm going to need the power vision for future planed mods so its a win win. My next plans are to get rid of the bulky turnsignals and and get a led head light and a solo seat. hopefuly I'll get some over time and have that stuff done in a few weeks.

Loving the exhausts also... I would not want to put a grinder on it either!!!

But if you must... Grind it down carefully leaving just enough to build a bead to close it and make a neat rounded covering. But weld it with a 308 or even better 310SS welding rod. When done, you should be able to smooth and polish those two alloys to a chrome like finish.
Thanks for the info on the exhausts. It is a look I am wanting to go towards.

Cut a piece of steel tube 1/4" or so and put in the middle of a couple washers and that may give you the height that you need to torque the nut. Try to get your hands on one of those aircraft nuts that don't come loose. If that fails to do the job then break out the grinder.

Are you thinking of aerotight nuts?
