Just caught in a storm...
without raingear! Shame on me! The one day of the week the weather guessers say rain will be in evening instead of afternoon and they were wrong. Had on 1/2 helmet and no widshield...felt like being pelted with gravel. I have been caught in the rain b4, but this was a STORM! High winds and all. Thought of stopping at my favorite store 1/2 way home, but knew I would partake of beverages and knew better with the weather. Oh, crap, fire pager went off...gotta run, in the truck this time.

A friend and I were caught last night in the rain as well. Local radar showed that the rain had moved out of the area but we got nailed about 6 miles down the road. Came home, dried off and watched Jeopardy. Lame night.

Learn to read the skys. If you ride without weenie shield or rain gear, as I do, you'll quickly become much better at the immediate weather forecast than any "weather personality".

Hey got back from fire call and took sons to a movie (Live free or Die Hard...good movie), playing mom and dad with wife in the desert. Sporty Pig, yea I never use the wshield and working the type job I do, I have learned to watch the skies. Guess I got fooled today...wanted to see how I liked my new pegs anyway. The rain hurts but the wind that makes you change lanes really sucks. Ihave been riding since I was 19 (40 now) and this was one of the worst I have been caught in. I said no rain gear...never carry it...no place on my sporty...if so it would be a BAGGER! and that is not what I want.
