Just venting...Last 3 time I have went for a ride it has rained. Went out this afternoon, sun shinning, weather man says only a 20% chance. Well my luck, clouds come rolling in, no place to hide and it rains, a real toad strangler. And of course my rain gear is at home from the last ride in the rain. Soaked to the bone, and the rain quits and the sun pops out.
30% chance tomorrow, guess I will try again. I think God hates me, and I am really a pretty good person.
Hey, we're still cleaning up after Hurricane Ike so you'll get little sympathy!
One saving grace is, the hurricane was followed up by a very nice cold front so the lack of electricity hasn't been nearly as big a deal as it could have been. Evening temps have been in the upper 50's to low 60's. Really great sleeping weather with the windows open. Hang in there, it'll get better sooner or later.
Well, I really don't think God is causing it to rain on you... the weather folks have an interesting job. Something like being a stockbroker! I took my rain gear out today and left it home. It thickened and I thought... OH NO!!! 20% chance last Friday and it poured on me! Gear worked great. I think... don't leave home without it. By the way... "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." He has given us great days to ride and some days to simply be thankful for the rain.
I've got the riding in the rain part down pretty good. When I bought my bike on 06 it rained every other day for 17 weeks, It didn't stop me. I got lucky and took the Riders Edge refresher course in the rain. Now I'm having a hard time finding studded SNOW tires for my bike. Winter will soon be upon us.
