Rough idle and sputtering, also white residue on exhaust pipe
I have a brand new 2020 Iron 1200. Ive only been on 3 or 4 shorts rides, it still has less than 100 miles on it. But I noticed that my last 2 times out that it has been idling really rough like it wants to stall out and sputtering when I left off the throttle even at higher speeds. I just noticed when I finished my last trip that I had some white residue on the exhaust (matte black so it was really easy to see). I recently put on passenger pegs and had to remove one of the exhaust pipes to get to the master cylinder, any chance the two could be related?
There is a way to test for leaks using a blower up the pipe and then either dusting the connections with talcum powder or a soapy solution like gas installers use.
Looks like something you ran over on the road. I see residue on your belt guard and rear sprocket pulley. I can't think of any fluid (oil or brake fluid) that leaves a white residue.
