Default Baffles drilled wrong

Hi I own Sportster 48 from 2011, the bike is complete stock. I got smart and decide to drill a hole on each pipe at the end of the cover of the baffles the issue is when I open those holes one was not in the center. Is this bad for my motorcycle?

Nah. I didn't get mine perfectly centered either. But then again, I only had those plugs for another month before I ordered Cobras! I hope you took them off though to get all the shavings out.

I wouldn't have thought one little hole would make the slightest difference at all to your motorcycle .

Well I'll take your word for it . But it still remains difficult for me to understand how a hole the size of a pencil can influence the exhaust note , or the performance of the motorcycle .

If the off center variance of your drilled hole is your question....no, it is not bad for the motorcycle.

If drilling a hole to increase the exhaust volume or performance is your question...better experienced forums co-members than I may comment.

That little hole doesn't matter. Better to get a hole saw that fits in there and drill out that "hole" area. Makes a 1200 sound very similar to the old XR750 flat trackers. Even the older narrow band O2 sensors will compensate enough that you won't go leaner than it already is.
