I've been looking all over these forums for info on hyperchargers. Anyone have one of these installed?? Advantages over a regular high-flow filter or are theymostly for looks? I'll be installing V&H pipes.
I sent Kuryakyn an e-mail awhile back asking if they made one for '07 FI Sportster models and they said NO and that they had no immediate plans of making one. That was not a very encouraging response.[:@] I thought the Black wrinkle Hypercharger would look good on the Nightster.
The word from every one I talked to when I was considering one was that you'll get no more performance out of the hypercharger than a K&N filter. Went to the filter and it's great. Also simple: easy to install/no moving parts to break down. Some comments were about water entering the fuel system through the open throats (not to mention what happens to the dust the engine is inhaling).
Mine was on it when i bought it,personally i think it looks great and sounds great, wether it gives more HP,i don't know as i've not compared it toastock one.

I have one, it was installed on the bike when I purchased it. I like it, but as far as performance gains I don't think there are any. It is more cosmetic than anything. There is a K&N filter inside, and I have also seen them on a Nightster it looked good in black. Here are a couple of pics.
