I find that the "thumb up" come from older men & woman. Probably because it wasn't often they saw a woman on her own bike....or that it wasn't acceptable back then for a woman to ride their own bike. I love it when an older lady pulls up in her car next to me and smilies and give me a thumbs up. Makes me smile.

BTW, what the he!! are they doing to Canyon Road now?!!? I was out there this weekend and it was like trying to dodge potholes, boulders and sewer grates whiletrying to stayinside the very narrow lines.
Did I just hijack the post? Another sorry. I love seeing women on bikes. I recentlyrode alongsidea girl on a Honda Shadow that was flirting with me. At least I think she was. Hard to tell these days with the deaf ear.[:@] Oh well, it's my story, she was flirting!

I'll come bail ya out. Of course it will probably take me a week to ride the Sporty from Nashville to the Seatle area, but that would be a great bike ride...and I'd get there for ya as soon as possible...
