Default Baffold?

Talked to a guy tonight who had a 2005 883C with some drag pipes. The bike was very loud. He mentioned that when he put on the pipes, the bike had some performance problems (as expected - drag pipes help out the top end and kill the low/mid range).

He then went on to say that he put in some cones - they fit in the exhaust manifold - right next to the heads. He had to disconnect the pipes from his machine and put the cones in. Once reassmbled - the bike ran as it should.

Anyone know what he was talking about - how much they are - and where they can be found?

I've seen these cones in the J&P Cycles catalog in the exhaust section. You might want to start there. I believe you would have to use the correct cones for your application and it depends on the drag pipes you have.

They're called torque cones.
