I have the detachable mounts on my bike for a sissy bar and rack. The front bits need a bit of a squeeze to make them locate and the rotating clips need a fair bit of effort to turn in and lock.
I did see somewhere but haven't actually checked but the black bits on the bike are oval to allow for a bit of adjustment.
The fit is perfect. I'll follow up again when her tour pack shows up. She's going to ride from Vegas to Sturgis this year, this should help with the 87 pairs of shoes she needs to take.
