Just thought I'd share my findings today . I've been having a few issues with my gearbox recently . Nothing serious , just the odd neutral light between first and second that needed an extra kick and a bit of unpredictability about the biting point . So I changed the oil ( Revtec ) and adjusted the primary chain . I'm out on a run now and the difference is amazing . Smooth changes , no more missed gears and a much better power take up when the clutch is released . So , my advice is before you spend any real money , just try an oil change .

The chain adjustment may have added some of the new found benefits, too. I do an annual primary oil change and inspect the chain play since I've already got it opened up. Every year it's fine but this year it was very loose. I had ridden it out a few times earlier in the year but did notice a small improvement to responsiveness after adjusting the clutch chain. There's a reason there is a chain inspection cover!
