If it were me I would figure out some sort of bracket. They are called drag pipes for a reason, probably be fine drag racing and/or bar hopping, anything more I would support them.

Best bet would be to check reviews at places that sell them, maybe some one has ideas on a bracket or the need of a bracket. Call the manufacturer as well.

If they are designed to attach anywhere it would be to a bolt on the Pulley Cover . The same as that used to secure the existing rear downpipe I would imagine .

Looking at different examples of similar type of pipes it would have to be one of the smaller bolts that hold the belt pulley cover on that would have to be used. if they are to be secured at the bottom end.

Asking around a UK based Sportster FB group on your behalf , and because I am curious to find out for myself , the general consensus seems to be that this style of pipe has no supporting bracket . Sounds like a very poor idea to me .

These days there is a song that plays in my head all the time, a single sustained note I know very well. Some days it is louder than others, but always there. I chalk it up to all the years on my Panhead with straight pipes. Doc seems to agree. Just something to think about.

its called Tinnitus. The ringing in your ears is forever. There is no cure. Yup - the straight pipes and wind noise did it.

These pipes are the reason Harleys are stereotyped as producing more noise than power. Absolutely destroys torque, fuel economy, and your ears. The people who see and hear your bike think to themselves “what a dumbass”.
