Throttle cables efi vs carb
Hello,
i’m new to posting in forums but I can’t find the answer I need. I want to buy a handlebar kit from magnum shielding. They dont have any kits for my 06 sportster 1200 low. They have a kit for an 07. My question, will the cables for a fuel injected 07 fit the carbureted 06 i have? Do they connect the same way or is it completely different?
i am trying to simplify everything by buying a kit vs choosing every cable/line separately. The measurement for their 07 kit for 12” short bottom apes is a perfect fit but I’m not sure if they will connect where they should properly.
any help will be greatly appreciated.

Different part numbers so in theory won't fit. They look very similar though. Parts #16 and #17

I appreciate you answering so quickly. I just wish i could compare how they attach without buying the 07 kit and comparing with my stock cables. If it was as simple as using the brass fitting from my stock cables, that would be great. I’ve read that there is no difference but i have also read the opposite.

The ferrules are the same for both years. With two cables looking almost exactly the same I will take a guess that the inner is a different length.
Perhaps if you look on Barnett's website at their cables they might give that dimension.
