Yes the sundowner seat helps but remember the sporster 1200 was hd answer to the yamaha virgo 1100 back in 1986 (if i remember the year right) and it was the largest factory motor at the time in the 70's lot were riding 2 up on less powerful choppers in the 80's on smaller jap bikes and in the 90's alot were doing 2 up on sport bikes.
hell try ca too ny on a 1997 zx7r with a passenger.
not every wants a bagger thats what a car is for, some of us like the wind.
It is much like when i see bikes from 2000 and mileage is 10k or less why buy a bike if your not going to ride it.
Sportster S . That's the the new one . Have another read of the OP .

Kind of like a realtor friend of mine said regarding residential real estate: “any closet can be a walk-in if you try hard enough”

Yes. I just got the set up on my Sportster S. Sure my wife says its uncomfortably small and minimally padded and she feels every bump all the way through her teeth and the pegs are too far forward, but... it is doable.

Fortunately my wife is so petite she offsets my bulk.

I've got a Softail sitting next to my Sportster and guess what guys? The Softail isn't that much bigger. Nothing to write home and tell mom about that's for sure.

Yes, my GF's 2021 Sportster looks like a bloated BT next to my 1991.

Yep, wife and I started 2-up on a GSXR750 in our late teens, that has progressed over the years now to where I need a Tour Pack, or she is staying home

I do not know about you but. I get ask often how my touring back rides on the back. I also get ask how it feels riding in the sidecar.

How the heck would I know. I am always the one with my hand on the handlebars. It is smart to consider the wife on back is often a bit bored. Comfort helps.
