Just my opinion, no one's forcing you to do anything. But, maybe seeing other perspectives will give you more insight.

Other people's opinions on an open forum hurt your feelings? Not much I can do about that.

Let me know when you see an MX or dual sport bike with forward controls, they're built for dirt and rough riding.

I've installed Roland Sand's Design knockoff velocity stack on my 2011 XL883N. I bought it on the Aliexpress website for only £14.20 including shipping to the UK. Its machined from aluminium and anodised black with a stainless steel mesh grill. It didn't come with any filtration, so I bought a 3" diameter stainless perforated disc, I then added three layers of air conditioner filter membrane and I swapped the stock stainless wire mesh with a 3" black speaker grill and I swapped all the shiny hardware for black stainless steel equivalents.

I have Python 2.5" slip-on mufflers and Nightrider XiED enrichment leads to control the fuel / air mixture. I think the stack looks neat, and it certainly does the job, you can see the result below.

Thank you for your kind words, I've gradually customised my Iron over the years since I bought it in 2011, I think I've now got it how I want to look.

I received a genuine H-D LOUD horn kit yesterday, unlike the plainly abysmal stock horn, the loud horn has the bar & shield emblem engraved on the front. The horn cost me £30.00 including shipping from Cardiff H-D here in the UK.

I'll install the new horn tomorrow and take a photo of it in situ.

Different rides for different riders. I’m cool with that. I get why mid control are useful for certain applications. I’m just not a fan of them. I broke my back a few years ago and now suffer daily chronic leg nerve pain, so having forward controls helps me ride as keeping my knees bent on a close to 90° angle cause my legs to get and even go numb.

Never said I had hurt feelings. Your wording just came across as looking down on anything but what YOU prefer. No worries. We all prefer what we will. 🤘🏻☠️🤘🏻

I really dig the Outlaw fairing.

AliExpress? Everything I look at on that site I get the feeling I’ll never receive what I order.

if you decide to go with a small fairing most will not fit the xlc so they say but ive modified 3 to fit the customs , so if you decide to go that route hit me up and ill show you how i made them work and fit right for the custom models

I've never had a problem receiving what I've ordered through Aliexpress.

I buy rocker box cover oil seals from Aliexpress, the seals have a 6mm bore x 14mm outside diameter x 5mm thick, so they are a great fit for the 1/4-20 screws on Sportster models, they are also fully encased in high temperature neoprene rubber. The cost to me is only £18.00 for 200 seals including shipping to the UK which takes about three weeks. That's only £0.09p per seal, H-D UK charge £2.34 for one of their seals, that's £18.72p for a set of eight.

I sell the fully encased seals on eBay at £5.00 for a set of eight including postage to UK addresses, unlike H-D's rubber and zinc plated seals these won't corrode due to their rubber encasement.

Here are the seals that I sell, they are high quality seals at a sensible price.
