Default tech question's

I have a 98 1200c , my left turn signal bulb's do not light up, neither does the indicator light. I've checked the bulb's and they appear ok. Could I have a switch problem? Also when I shut down the engine I tend to smell fuel . Is that normal? I pulled the air cleaner and there was a small film of oil inside, not alot but oil non the less. When I bought my bike day's ago it had a spark plug that was copletely broken in half and looked to be an origanal. could that have anything to do with any of this? I have yet to ride this bike more than a mile yet. Thank's for any and all answer's! Ive finally found my Harley and look forward to many year's of cruising it!

As for your light problem, those things are hard to trace sometimes but its likely a bad ground so check all those connections.
Your fuel smell is normal as is the oil in the filter. The oil is the result of blow-by from the breather bolts and is most often occurring due to the oil tank being slightly overfilled.
