I was out riding with my wife (two up) this evening. We were having a good time just being together on my little bike riding in East Mesa. We came up on some guy with his wife/gf on the back of his dyna. He was about my size and his wife would have outweighed my little wife by probably 80lbs. At a stop sign, he revved it wanting me to go. I hesitated....only for a split second. The light turned green, we started off. I pulled ahead, but it was close. I hit the rev limiter in 3rd gear and he passed me...
So, at the next light...we ran them again. I was more careful this time and only ran it up to about 60mph (in a 45mph zone) before I backed off. He zipped pass me easily, then backed off also. We stopped at the next light, I turned right, he and his wife waved and on we went.
I was proud of my little bike. Didn't get dusted by his bike like I thought I might.
I have had some work done to it, stage one stuff. Juiced up a little, but nothing special like some of you guys. I am no racer but my wife loved it.
Very cool! As long as you had fun. A 883 isn't a stepchild. It's every bit Harley as a RoadKing. I still can't get over yur new look. Totally different then your first post back in the day.
