Default Bolt Replacement

This is my first post here, so if i'm missing any formatting or common posting things please feel free to educate me.

I need to replace one of the bolts show below as i've stripped the head.
Can anyone help me with what these bolts are called? So that I can search for some replacements?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Ronnies parts finder is a great resource for researching that sort of stuff
https://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....asp?make=hdmc
Also check out the HD SIP site, free registration is required but is well worth it..Among other things it has detailed specs on fasteners, etc.

Hello Steve and welcome to the forum.

I supply those screws in black stainless steel to UK customers, I just call them "upper cylinder head screws", the stock screws are forever shaking loose due to vibration, they drop out and get lost on the road, especially after they've installed an ignition coil relocation bracket. The stock 7/8" screw simply isn't long enough to supprt a bracket so I sell 3/8-16 x 1" screws instead. I recommend smearing Loctite 243 ( the blue one ) on the threads before installing the screws, that will prevent them from working loose.

Here is one of my customers XL883N motor with an ignition coil relocation lit and my black stainless screws.
