Hello Harley world This is my first time posting a post
I have a 2006 1200 sportster c I replaced my exhaust with "trouble makers" my buddy said I have jet my carb...My other friends said no need too..Now it's wierd the bike back fires and it doesn't idel as well too
can some send me to the right steps

In many cases just changing slip-on type mufflers won't require a jet change. If you install a full set of pipes a rejet is often needed, it just depends on how lean/rich the carb was adjusted before. In your case the carb was probably on the lean side to begin with and the rejet will be necessary. The first step will be to drop the carb bowl and determine the existing jet sizes.
