I've got this tuner for my '08, and am unable to sign-in to their site to download and install any tunes. I spoke to assistance once, & followed the instructions with no luck. Anybody else have issues with this tuner set up? Thank you!
Logging in and using the tuner seems to be two different things.
Perhaps you just need to keep trying to get help from Dynojet. Looking at the site page did you successfully create an account?
Yes, I set up a gmail account with a password as instructed. At the dynojet site, when I 'sign in', it comes up as 'failed to log in' My wife tried to log on with the same results. Dynojet help said problem appears to be at my end; things look ok at their end.

If you are using the Bluetooth style unit you may to download an app and have unit plugged In on the bike and make sure you see it on your Bluetooth settings if it's that model PV4 . I have one for my Dyna and it took a few tries to get it all.setup .
There were no written instruction with this tuner. Suppose to get them online. I followed the instructions and set up a gmail account with its own password (just what I need: another freeking password) and I was unable to log in. I thought of hooking it up to my bike, but was afraid of messing with the existing tune. And, as far as I could tell there wasn't a tune in my android phone to load in the tuner. The bike runs fine when accelerating, but with the throttle just cracked, while cruising, acts like it's starved for fuel.

Looking at the website it looks like you need to look in the download database of tunes and get the one you want. As I don't have an account nor device I am excluded from having a real good look.
The app or device should make it very clear at what point it will actually flash the ECM. You won't do anything just hooking it up to your bike.
I would expect lie the other device that it will save the tune that it finds on the bike before doing the first flash.

Just plugging it into the bike won't change the tune . And it will hold the original tune in memory so you can always go back to it . When I did my Dyna , I downloaded the app to my devices and it was pretty simple to use.
You're going to need to make sure they have an account for you, with the serial number of the tuner that's already on the bike. I'm assuming it's still paired to the old owners account. Make sure you specifically tell them you bought it used. I'd do on the phone, don't wait for e-mail instructions. Also make sure there was nothing in spam from them, telling you to verify your account. Personally, I'm not a fan and wish I didn't buy the PV4. My app always wants me to update, then it takes me to the app store where it simply says "open". So something is wrong there. Then, it signs itself out all the time and I am constantly having to sign back in. Next, so much for the autotune feature they keep saying is coming out as an upgrade to it. Again, I think I might eat the 400 bucks and look for a different tuner. Or, since it's dynojet, have it tuned by a pro and leave it alone even though it's just a stage one.
It is a shame to read this about the PV4 because all the topics on the previous unit was the best thing since sliced bread.
Looking at pictures of the PV4 makes it look like the cable is fixed and not changeable for use on pre and post 2014 bikes.
my cable on the unit I have is changeable and I don't have to leave it plugged into the bike at all. I don't get what the problem is at this point . If what was.previously posted that the unit was on the bike when they bought, then they have to relicesne it which shouldn't be a problem.
