On my 48, I changed from the forward to the mid mount controls. I did have to remove the front muffler to be able to bolt the mid mount bracket to the frame. Also, it is a good idea to run a tap into the hole on the frame to clean the threads up before bolting the mount up.

I did notice that. I'm going to install the Rush slipons I had on the SuperLow on the bike anyway so I'll mount up the footpeg mount then. I'm waiting on the stupid brake pedal, cannot find the correct one anywhere other than Germany. Ordered one from Ronnies and they are on backorder until February... of course...
Since you are having to acquire the mid-mounts, have you considered the 'further forward'
version from the 'T' model ? I switched my Iron to the further forward mounts and I find
it to really help my old knees from getting as 'stove up' from being bent further back with
the stock mid-mounts.

Please enlighten me as to the Sportster "T" model. I've assumed this was an accessory item only?
If you are piecing this further forward kit together as I have, may I suggest the Buell Blast shift arm as it's just enough longer than the stock XL shift arm to be a perfect length and it's a bolt on.

Here is a pretty good description of the XL1200T SuperLow
Notice under the 'Fit' section:
- Two-up reduced reach seat features narrow nose
- Mid-mounted foot control position, 3 inches forward of other Sportster models
- Rider mini footboard
Yeah, obviously, the stock length shift arm will not work (as shown below)
