One of the "tricks" to wrinkle paint is very thin coats
Hey Larry. I suppose different paints may require different methods but your comment made me go double check my cans.
Been using Krylon wrinkle finish for over 30 years and always followed thier directions. 2-3 heavy coats 5 minutes apart, they state heavy coating required to wrinkle.
My last experience with the Wrinkle paint was many years ago so I may be showing my age ... Did I mention that I cooked the finish in the stove while my gal wasn't home? ....Ride safe

Actually I almost went back and edited my post to include that. Either use oven after spraying or as I often did, warm up part before spraying. That works wonders.
Never thought about caps for the bolts, but I did already buy the SS bolt kit. Hopefully mine is decent quality.
Another idea I was kicking around was trying to electroplate the originals myself, just never got around to doing it.
