With the engine off, mine won't move with the clutch in when it's in gear. In fact, it's tough to find neutral unless I rock it forward and back a few times with the clutch in. Been that way as long as I can remember.
Maybe it's a model year thing - my '07 can be rolled backwards out of the garage in first gear/engine off/clutch lever pulled in just fine.
You said you turned the bike around in the gravel. Is it possible a deep rut or perhaps an oversize rock prevented the front wheel from going forward?
Whaap I'd thought about that too. Which is why I rode to work yesterday. It was the tech that became really concerned. When he hit the brake hard it really screeched and he told me he could feel it "drag" in the handle bars when he rolled it back with the engine off and the clutch pulled in.
I'm hoping its nothing that's going to take three weeks to get parts for.
