Put "Custom Chrome" #17545 on mine a year ago, Fits 91-03 Sportsters. $170.00 on Ebay. Work great. Did change the pegs to ISO's.

Has anyone ever put forward controls on with highway bars ? Well what a mess I got myself into. Made the mistake of ordering the controls with an extra 2". You would think the mechanic would have said something because it just doesn't work. I would have to wear a size 22 shoe with 6" platforms to shift. The highway barsmake it impossible to adjust the pegs.I guess the biggest mistake was trying to go cheap and get after market parts and not go to a harley dealer. Well now my bike has been unusable going on 2 weeks and they are still waiting for the new part to correct the problem. This is so frustrating.
Hmmmm.....not all aftermarket stuff is cheap and not all HD stuff is perfect regardless of price. Just got to do your homework and lots of research when doing a mod on your own.

After riding into work and getting to cruise on thehighway today, I can say that it has definitely improved my riding comfort. I'm hoping it will also allow me to ride for longer periods of time without feeling it in my back and butt since I'm more stretched out and relaxed.

I was use to the mids and didn't mind them at first bc of dirt bike riding. Once you experience the forward controls, you definitely feel more like your "cruising"!

Regarding the ISO pegs, those look cool! One thing that I'm concerned about with my pegs are the skinny, what appear to be nothing more than o-rings, trying to get the same effect as the Kuryakyn ISO pegs.I can see these breaking over time and looking like crap... of course, I'll just buy different pegsif that's thecase.

Overall, it's a very easy, fun and worthwhile upgrade- worth the $250.

Don't rub it in. I've had mine on order for almost 2 weeks. [:@]

I don't have extended forwards, but I have standard Harley forwards (they are actually a little short) and I put on a mustache bar for stretching out farther. It all works pretty good. I can rest my ankles on the forward pegs and then the ***** of my feet on the cruise pegs. Very comfy.
I couldn't ride a Sporty without forwards, but at 6'2 and quite a bit of girth I still feel cramped. Do you have any trouble switching between the two while riding? Sounds like your ankle is between the forward pegs and brake/gear levers.

I love the forwards for riding, but I dislike them for stopping/starting situations. It's more of a distance to move your feet.

Another benefit of the forwards is that you can get more of the small of your back against the mini-bucket back of the rider's seat. It takes some weight off your butt.

They are good for comfort but I found I could not throw the bike around like I am want to do without the mids. Maybe just a personal thing but I can handle the bike much better with mids so I just installed highway pegs for the times I need to stretch out.

I'm 6' even and size 13 boots. I have to rest the tip of my toe on the pegs for cruising, it hurts my ankles to hover my feet over the controls for long periods of time. I also get cramps in my left hip from the position and becuase that leg shifts the gears.

No trouble, the forward control pegs are long enough that I'm on the outside of the brake and gear shift.
