Took my first "real" ride after my operation. Went about forty miles. Got into some good thunderstorms but managed to sneak around the bad stuff.
Still got wet, it was great! By the way, what is the expected life of the oem brakes? My sporty has 4300 miles and I get a little rubbing noise from the front caliper when I am off the brakes. Appreciate the help.
I've got roughly 14,000 miles on my bike with the original brakes.Brake life span depends on how often they are used so it is impossible for me to answer your question with a definite mileage. I don't know what that rubbing noise could be that you hear.
My 03 has had that rubbing noise since almost new. As far as I know, it's common. My friend's 07 street bob, same thing. By the way, I have 10,000 plus on my bike and still about 3/4 life on my fronts.
I noticed the same thing the other day, when steping it forward in netural engine off i can hear a rub every now and again I was thinking it was a certain part on my wheel but the rub sound is not every rotation...just the way it is I guess
