I ride a '02 Ultra with around 56,000 miles on it. Yesterday while heading home at about 75 mph I started to hear a loud 'howl' coming from the bikes front area. As I slowed down the howling dissipated and then went away completely. I took side roads home for the rest of the ride expecting something nasty to happen causing me to kiss the road. Fortunately I made it home okay but I can't for the love of me figure out where the loud 'howling' came from. That's the reason for this post. Does anyone have a idea what caused the noise?
BK Indiana 16 here. The first thing I would check is wheel bearings.
