Its impressive how companies like Triumph, BSA, Royal Enfield can build small affordable RETRO nostalgic bikes. What are our chances with the Sprint ?
I agree, the current UK list price of the BSA Gold Star 650 starts at Ł6399 for the base models to Ł6699 for the "legacy model" which I have.
BSA have recently released a B65 Scrambler version of the Gold Star 650 at Ł5999 and a Bantam 350 at Ł3499.
BSA motorcycles are now available in the United States of America.
Apart from your Harley / Sportster, what other bikes do you ride? After I sold my Big Block 502 8.2 liter V8 Boss Hoss (it became too heavy!) I got on lighter bikes. Apart from the Harley I ride a KTM Super Duke R and a Triumph Rocket 3.
I always wanted to ride one of those Boss Hoss monsters but never had a chance to. I did sit on one back in the day and was very surprised at how easy it was to stand it up off the kickstand. It felt well balanced too.
I saw a guy leave a bike show on one about 20 years ago and he laid a patch of rubber for about 1/8 th of a mile before he let off it.

Once you get used to it it is OK. It has a reverse "gear" via the Nesco two speed semi auto box. Not much ground clearance and you can pass about anything except a fuel station!
1986 Honda CR250 with a 265cc big bore, ported head. 100% frame up restoration. All in house work except for the engine work done by Tom Morgan Racing.
Last May I bought a 2002 883r. I already have a 1998 Softail Custom and a 2013 103 Heritage Softail Classic. My first Harley-Davidson was a 1972 XLCH I bought in 1977. I always enjoyed riding the XLCH so I purchased the 883r. It sure brings back memories.
