What other bikes you ride?
What is difficult to see in the photo was a "ball horn" / G: "Ballhupe", like those often mounted on the bicycles of little boys.

A simple mechanical horn was one of the conditions for German approval.
Back then, custom bikes with older model years had a great deal of freedom in every respect...
And a small "Ballhupe" was TÜV compliant, and saved on unsightly, ugly electrical cables that nobody wanted on their chopper.
There were some really crazy BMW choppers back then, but unfortunately you rarely see bikes like that today.
When I regain access to my photo collection, I'll post some photos – incredible machines, all unique pieces, conceived and hand-built to a truly high standard...
