Well I dont want to do this but my truck took a crap on me and need a new one so the toy has to go i cant find anything on how much a nightster is worth for bluebook value, I have just a hair over 3,000miles on it, exhaust, bars, and other extras whats a good selling price? thanks 007
Sportster market is flooded! Easiest bike to buy toughest to sell! I have been trying to move a 50th for over a month and all I get is azzholes wanting to steal it! Good Luck!
I bought mine totally stock with security for $8750. That was with 970mi and the 1000mi dealer service done to it. I'd say you should be able to get back a few $$$ for the extras you've added to your bike. It's too bad you have to let it go.
I know you were joking! I was just making a point that thats the type of offers I've been getting on a bike that is mint and has over $12000. invested. Sorry if it looked like I was going after you. It's all cool!
Tough situation..I really like my 1200N.
I'll through this formula out - Depreciation 1000 first year and 500 each consecutive year till it reaches a base depreciated value of 5000.
With out the accessories and sales tax and insurance; what did the N cost. Then minus 1000 to get a relevant value.
The buyer will have to pay sales tax to register it and provide his own insurance.
You'll get a refund of some of your insurance and if still have the original parts I put them back on and sell the accessories separately.
Again tough situation,I just added a likely motorcycle depreciation formula to help you with your decisions.
