I've had 11 bikes, but never a Harley. All that changesthis Thursday when I head over to Beaumont Texas to Cowboy Harley and pick up my new pearl white 1200C. Those guys offered me an out the door price of 9900 bucks soI took it.
Progressive insurance balked and refused to sell me a bike policy because my motorcycle endorsement expired on my driver's license, but Geico wrote the policy and beat Progressive by 100 bucks, then faxed it to dealer. Geico gave me 30 days to get bike endorsement, but Progressive requires it up front.....So that means goodbye to Progressive after 7 years, I'll give all my business to Geico now.
I got to hand it to Harley and the Cowboy dealership-They made it easy.....Just a few emails, one fax,and it was a done deal.
Thanks for the forum gents. i'm sure i'll be a regular here.
Congrats! and Welcome! You will love that bike like no other... I was the same. I was a Honda man from the time I was 9...lol I too bought my first Harley this year! Post pics as soon as you get some!
I'm an old fart-retired submarine sailor....It's time for me to enjoy myself a little....This bike is intended as a display in my game room where I have a polished dance pole, disco lights, mirrors and stage grade sound system installed.
Next year I'll buy a Rocker custom to ride after they've worked the bugs out, but will keep the Sporty next to the pole.
Pics?.....Oh yeah, you can believe I will post pics!
Congrats on the new bike. I too am a (relatively)old fart who recently bought the same model. Get out and ride her, you'll forget you even have a game room (did he say dance pole....well perhaps you wont forget completely, then again, if you're that old, can you remember why you got the dance pole in the first place?).
