This is a tough one, Phil. Looking at the MCN classifieds doesn't really help.I see what looks like a stock '04 883basic model(i.e. older, cheaper when new, no Stage 1) for the same price as the bike you've posted about here. (n.b. looks like it might be the same dealer). That makes the one you are interested in look a good price. Then again, I also see a stock '07 883 basic model, with an alarm and only 1000 miles on the clock, for just £5 more, which makes the one you're thinking of look expensive.
Unlessthe feeling of thinking you've got yourself a good deal really gets you off,my thoughts are that you should stop worrying aboutcomparing bikes on price. Find a bike youreally, really like. Ask yourself if you would be willing to pay the asking price for it. If yes - buy it. If no - walk away.
The way I think of it is this: Get a bike you really like, start riding it and you'll pretty soon forget how much you could have saved if you had bought something else. Get another bike and you'll spend most of your time riding aroundwishing you'd spent the extra money to get the bike you really wanted in the first place, or spending money on the one you did buy to try and make it like the one you didn't.
