Anyone find a way to to clean the rust out of your fasteners and keep it rust free? What an eyesore!

Maybe using Navel Jelly and a wire brush to really get in there, rinse it out and clean the fastener with some kind of protectant?

I've used Simichrome Polish with an old toothbrush successfully in tight places, but can't say I've tried the inside of bolt or screw heads. Could be worth a try.

Naval jelly followed by nail polish works fine. If the chrome is shot, then its time for stainless steel allan bolts. They hold up better in the long run and are easier to wrench.

I use Q-Tips on battery operated drill... with chrome polish...

I used clear parifin(wax)or clear nail polish...

The thing about the parifin is, really no build up....
