Is there anyone in the Houston, Tx area that would be willing to look at my bike and tell me if I have a Stage One kit on it, it has the screaming eagle pipes and KN filter....
I went by Republic and the guy just walked past it and said well the filter is not covered around the edges so it must be a Stage One,,, PLEASE EVEN I AM NOT THAT DUMB...
The service dept wanted me to pay them 75.00 just to look at it.
I would bet it has a stage1 kit. A stage 1 is a free flow exhaust and a free flow A/C and the carb jetted if needed.. Your bike has the exhaust and the air cleaner. If the carb was not stage 1 tuned the bike would not run right.

Where are you at in Houston?? I'm on South side in Kemah..ride down or if your not too far I'll look it over for you...keep your money ... you just buy the Pizza.[8D]. BTW:it does sound like its stage 1..if it was done by a dealer..if not MAY be just partially done. The big queation is;How does it run???? You can call me at 832-640-8240>>>David
I agree that if carb was not rejetted the bike would be very lean and generally run poorly. If you look at the bottom of the carb there should be a screw recessed WAY up in a circular area...if there is a flush plug there then idle mixture was not adjusted (since plug must be removed to access) and might point to not being rejetted either. My bet is unless it runs very lean, especially and easily noticed at idle, your carb has been worked on to match intake and exhaust. I am in Kemah/Clear lake Shores as well. John
