What is 'Stage 1'?

What is 'Stage 1'?

I've seen a few posts about 'Stage 1' upgrade. What is it? Also, is carb re-jetting req'd along with ANY performance upgrade (better air filter flow, hotter spark) OR is it only req'd if opening the carbs/intake/engine or adding free flowing mufflers?

The Stage I usually involves a SE High Flow Air Cleaner and new pipes. Along with this you will need to re jet your carb due to increased airflow making your bike run even leaner than it already was from the factory. Do it all at once and get it over with

If you go with a stage 1 kit,you might want to look into the Arlen Ness set up that comes with an K&N element. I hear the Screaming Eagle kit is crap

Screaming eagle intake kit is the best one if the dealer throws it in for free!

Yea i tryed to do my whole system for under 500$ and i found SE was awsome because i got SEII 249.99 SE ac 109.99 carb rejet kit 34.99 SE spark plugs 15.99 SE spark plug wires 12.99 so i spent 423.?? on a lot considering that is half of what a set of rinharts cost so really try and shop around and try and get something that is going to work together and good luck you will love any of it.
