CYLINDER QUESTION

IF I PUT OVER SIZE JUGS AND PISTONS ON MY 79 IRONHEAD DO THEY JUST BOLT UP OR DO I NEED TO ALTER ANYTHING?

Depends what you mean by oversized ? If you mean the cylinder heads inside diameter is bored out to take a little bigger piston diameter etc, they should bolt right up with no problem with the original holes etc..... If your talking longer stroke, etc....Then you need longer rods, etc etc....Sounds to me your just putting on jugs that are a little bigger as far as inside bore diameter.....And this should not be a problem.....Make sure you use a good quality head gasket bro and that you torque it evenly and to proper torque specs....This is critical...Also make sure you re adjust your carb to the correct fuel air mixture, etc....You will be needing more fuel and air into that motor if you raise your cubit inches...
