Default Stage 1 = GREAT

I bought a used 05 1200C and it ran ok but not great. I did the stage 1 carb update this past Saturday. Pilot jet45, main 180, new diaphram spring, needle, adjust ilde mixtureand drilled out the hole in the slide (7/64) and new BS 1 air filter.

It now runs and idles and doesn't cough and stall and runs flat out without missing a lick. So if you are hesitant on doing this, don't. Just git er done, you will be in love with your bike.

I have a friend that hates his bike because of the way it runs. He says he want to wait until the warranty runs out. So he doesn't ride it. It makes no sense to me.

My dealer did a Stage-1 on my bike and it didn't void the warranty.

I agree. We just installed pipes, air cleaner, and afuelpak ourselves on saturday/sunday, and it makes a noticeable difference in how the bike idles and performs. Stage 1 should be mandatory.
