Hey, if you call Pipe Dreamz, let Ben know that David from High Desert Harley in Boise referred you.... Ben is the owner.... Hell of a cool guy.... His company is the only manufacturer of Sportster only custom exhaust systems... Here is a link to the website and a pic of my pipes...
I work with a couple of guys with Nightsters i may in the near future try to get one myself, I have a Lowrider(Keeper) and have had a full range of Harleys but never a Sportster, I have ridden a std one a few years back, I'm 6ft 210 with 32 inseam, How do you think the bike and I would get along, I LOVE the looks and the fact its turn key Barhopper for 10K...Looks alone would sell me but looking to see if any of you are same or clese size wise, High Desert that is one nice Nightster!
Thank you my friend! .... Personally I am 5'10" - 180 - I do have about the same inseam though... With forward controls, the bike fits me well... If you can afford the bike as a short trip/bar-hopper... I don't think you can do any better... This thing is more fun than a horny virgin on prom night....... Well.... Maybe not..... But it is a hellofalotta fun!
Hmmm I think you guys are going to cost me some money soon! MayI ask how much over 10K are they going for??? The guys at work paid 10K but the 2 different dealer were far apart on out the door, The guys black one was 12.9 otd and a silver was 11.3K......This is in the Los Angeles area, I talked to one guy that paid over 13K so far have yet to see the orange in this town.
The maximum sound criteria stated above is for the state of Michigan, not where you live (in Texas).
Different states and jurisdictions have different laws.
In Texas (as it is where I live), there is no state law dealing with motorcycle muffler or maximum sound acoustical criteria. Counties and Cities can adopt their own noise ordinances, but nothing is on the books at the state level.
Heck, where I live we don't even have emission or equipment inspections. It's anything goes.....
And if you want to hear a loud bike stand next to my built EVO WideGlide. It has straight1 piecestepped tuned drag pipes from the cylinders on back.
