Nice area Lewd. I've got to go about 50mi to get something like that...which, I guess, is ok too! I can't tell if those are hwy pegs or forward controls. If forward, how do you like them? Are you on the taller side?
They are the HD adjustable Highway pegs, and I really like them. I am on the shorter side 5'8" with an inseam of 29". I like having the mid controls, and be able to extend out when needed. I have got to the point now where I can shift up and down with my heal.
Damn that's beautiful scenery. I was in Lake Placid in July and rented a bagger for a couple of days. That was my best ride to date. Even though I can ride year round, I sure wish that Florida had some scenery like that.
I live in the Pacific North West near Seattle and Tacoma, but my son attends Ithaca College. Couple of years ago in October we flew back to see him and the college etc. Beautiful area, just at the base of Lake Cuyuga. We drove around the lake, and drove over to Watkins Glen.Loved the town of Ithaca. You have a great looking bike, and a wonderful area for riding. I just kept thinking, when we were back there, what a great place to ride a motorcycle!

Jon in Puyallup, Wa.
Ahhhhh, Watkins Glen... I love it there. When I was 16 I used to ride with a club called KMR, or Kaatskill Mountain Riders. We would go there every year for the BMW rally and camp out. I drove a 1971 Honda CB350 Four! I loved that bike. It was my first! The exhaust rusted out at the elbows in the pipes so it was a loud honda! Infact, I fired it up one morning early in the A.M. to let it warm up at the BMW rally in Watkins Glen, and this big leather skinned Harley dude comes out of his tent and said "Turn thatF'n thing off before I shove some G*d D*mn oatmeal in those G*d D*mn pipes!" ah, what fond memmories...lol I still have my colors in the closet...
