for what its worth, in this case $5,000.00. my neighbor has a 2003 sporty, has under 40,000 miles and i think she getting ready to loose it. has the 1200 kit and looks like new. any interest email. seems like a pretty good deal for the price, maybe not seeing as shes been trying to get rid of it for couple years. nothing wrong with it, in fact she started it the other day and took it around the area for a short ride.
Have you done any other shopping for a Sportster yet? Personally I think it's a little high. 2003 was the last year the engine of the Sportster was rigid mounted to the frame. Starting in 04 the engines were rubber mounted. There is a significant difference in the bikes as far as vibration goes. I would shop around for a good, low mileage 04 and I think you would be able to buy a nice one for the same kind of money.
I bought an 03 because it wasnt rubber mounted, would not trade you...
I think thats highalso butbecause its still an 883 on the title and the miles on it..
