I was thinking about taking the baffel (I THINK THATS WHAT ITS CALL) out of my pipes. I was told it would make it sound more agressive and give me a little bit more power.
Is that true?
Will it make my bike run any differently, I have a Carb, not fuel injection...
No!!! That's false!! Your bike won't sound "more aggressive" -- it will just sound louder. And, as far as a performance increase, that's completely false. Removing the baffles of any pipe almost always guarantees a loss of power atcertain rpm levels.
EDIT: Removing the baffles on your pipes will only be beneficial if you want a loud bike -- that's pretty much it. I've read numerous places where people put their baffles back in after having them removed for awhile only to discover how much power they gained when they put the baffles back into the pipes.
Removing baffle will make it alot louder with a nice loss ofbottom end torque, Throw in a set of big city thunder baffle's if you want a more sgressive sound.
I agree, no baffles sounds like no mufflers. Not good, just loud and you will lose some torque because of the loss of back pressure.
