I made some motor mods, and changed the breather, tossed out the stock exhaust. Shaved the rear fender, moved the plate and tail light, changed the headlight, gauges and signals, handlebars and grips. You're right. It's probably not a Sporty at all.

I think I'll be spending more time on the Softail and Touring forums. As much $hit as I took for riding a Sporty those years, you'd think we would all band together and share our passions for our bikes and riding.

If you are talking about lolife's...Well it started life as a 2003 sportster. Being that the Sportster is the only HD bike with that engine/trans configuration (With the exception of a buell) To me it's still a Sportster.

That's a shame. Somehow the Sportster forum section always seems to attract a few narrow minded "know it all" individuals. Don't give up the ship, there are a lot of good people here.
