She's getting into it
Chris liked it, and likes her new helmet. She's already talking about making little trips on the bike.
Also, when we went to Escondido Cycle Center to look for a helmet, she saw a Suzuki Boulevard. She could flat-foot it, and pick it up easily. (The only HD motorcycle she can pick up and flatfoot is the Nightster). So, now she's musing about a bike of her own. [/align]
Tonight, we went and got a helmet for Chris, and when we got home, we took our first two-up ride. It wasn't a very long one, only about 40 minutes, but it was fun. We did both some city driving, as well as a stretch on the freeway.

Nice bike and I can't think of a better way for you guys to spend time together.
My wife has gone from not even wanting me to speak about owning a bike just a few years ago, to wanting to get her MC license and get one of her own since I did finally get mine. Glad she came around. I can't think of a better riding partner.

But if I ever put one on a Hog it won't be a bagger or she would only drive it to Wal-Mart to go shopping!

I'm glad you guys found something to enjoy together.....Me and 3rd wife tried horses first.......I came home to discover the horses gone along with the dually and the horse trailer and all my $$.
So I replaced the horses with two new Harleys and now I don't miss the horses, the dually or her.....But the trailer would be nice to have sometimes....I didn't replace her with anything full time, tho.....I got to where I like an empty house and things where I left them and no one asking where I been-who was that on the phone-or where I'm going.....And I danged sure like to come home and not have to do for anybody but me.
For 24 years my first wife always frowned whenever I suggested we get something I would enjoy too.....A boat, or a bike, or even a tent was out of the question with her.....So I did it anyway.....I went thru 11 bikes and several boats and lots of tents....Me and our son stayed in the woods or on the water or on the bikes (when I wasn't imprisoned on submarines)while she visited the shrink and her divorced girlfriends....she went riding with me one time...camping just once....and fishing never....One day she put her foot down and discovered she had stepped out the door.
Gents, you only live once.....And if your bride can't see that, then don't do circles around them waiting for them to wake up.....Instead, head in the direction you need to go and see if they keep in step, but don't look back-look to see if they are next to you.
My second wife is my riding buddy whenever I want a riding buddy......she is also a great cook and housekeeper.....So I let her visit about once a week, but she knows not to ask where I've been or why the phone was busy.
Gents.....Motorcycles are a man's escape device......always have been .....always will be.......A hog with a solo seat tugs at a woman.....It tugs cause she instinctively knows that a Man rides it, and he might ride it out of her life.....But a UGC with a rear armchair is a stationwagon in their eyes and an anchor on your leg
But that's just me and that's the way I think
