No, I never ride a sidecar. But I never ride a bike before as well
And yes, I did drove a car with chains on its wheels
Do you have to have seatbelt in the sidecar? Can you really put two children there legally?
I agree, Ural is an ugly thing in compare with any HD. No chrome at all, just pure machinery. Like a workhorse, made to work, not for fun. Would be nice to have a machine gun in a sidecar

The sidecars I rode in years ago did not have seat belts. The Ural that a guy I know that has one (there fine as long as you keep oil in then, he didin't) has seat belts. Oh it was his fault not the bike.
Urals are sold here. I think I would buy a ural with the live side car wheel. I think a Ural can be bought for about the price of a side car setup for HD. Besides I would rather mess up a Ural in winter riding than a HD.
I don't have any suggestions as to models or that type of thing, but I did see a Sporty with a side car at a Rally back in the summer. A family of four arrived on/in it. Man driving, wife (I presume) on the back, and 2 small children in the sidecar. It actually looked pretty good.
I just got a quote last week, and they are sending the paperwork via snailmail. For a spyderII(best looking) with a Brooklands wind screne, matching paint and graphics, cigarette lighter, seat belt, matching rim, side headlamp, and a tonneau cover came to $5,453.00 delivered but not installed. I can not wait!!! To be able to take my boys in the side car will be priceless! I have 3 boys total, and two of them are 5yrs old, my 3rd is only 1yr old so he will have to wait a little while. I am iching for a FatBob, but this will be much more fun being able to incorporate the family instead of leaving them behind... I think...lol
